When I was around 7, I went to Detroit with my family, and we visited a park. I saw a teenager drawing and became inspired by his detailed colored-pencil artwork of a tiger. This sparked a deep desire to create and depict the world around me as I see it.
As I got older, I started losing my sense of wonder, and I wasn't sure how I was going to get it back. I revisited my faith in Jesus as a teenager; this deep experience is what helped me regain my ability to see the beauty in the world around me. I was once again inspired to share my art in a way that captures the beauty of God's gift to us, His creation.
